The industrial plant design is one of the most important services of EmmeTiTech's Industrial Engineering division. For over 10 years we have been designing and implementing industrial plants taking into account technical specifications, regulatory requirements and budget restrictions of our customers.
Our design aims to maximise the efficiency, safety and productivity of the plant and we do so by applying the latest best practices and industry standards.

From feasibility analysis to final implementation, we are committed to offering a service that covers all phases essential for the development of efficient and safe plants. In particular, we focus on basic and detailed engineering, two key pillars in our design process:
Basic Engineering:
- Layout: Definition of the physical diagram of the plant, including machine and system locations.
- Significant Features: Determination of key elements affecting the design and construction of the plant.
Detail Engineering:
- Layout Canaline: Design of trajectories for cables and pipes.
- Supports and Typical Secondary: Development of equipment and components supports.
- Layout Location Equipment: Precise organization of the position of machinery and equipment.
- Layout Cabins and Pulpits: Configuration of control and operating spaces.
- Squares and Frames: Arrangement of supports and structures for electrical panels.
- Layout Lights, CCTV, HVAC and Firefighting: Design of lighting, video surveillance, air conditioning and safety systems.
- Earth Mass System: Definition of ground systems to ensure the protection and functionality of the plant.

The phases of our plant design service
Plant design is divided into different phases, each of which plays a fundamental role in defining the entire project:
At this initial stage, our design professionals work closely with the customer to fully understand the needs, requirements and objectives of the plant. Production processes, the required capacity, sector regulations and other relevant variables are identified.
Based on the requirements, engineers and designers develop a detailed plan for the plant. This includes spatial layout, choice of materials, technologies to be used and allocation of resources. Safety, energy efficiency and environmental impact are also considered.
At this stage, a concept design is developed that illustrates the general structure of the system, including the main functional areas, the connections between the various components and process flows. This graphic representation helps to visualize the overall appearance of the system.
Here, the concept design is further detailed. Technical diagrams, 2D and 3D drawings, CAD models and other specific documentations are developed. This level of detail includes identification of specific components, specification of materials and detailed connections.
The technical, economic and operational aspects of the project are evaluated and optimised. This may include process simulation, performance analysis, cost estimation and identification of potential problems. The aim is to ensure that the project is feasible and meets the objectives set.
Once the design project has been developed, it is presented to the customer for approval. This may include sharing drawings, patterns, technical reports and detailed plans. Customer feedback is considered for any revisions or adjustments.
After final approval, the design project is delivered to the construction and implementation team. This team will work to transform the detailed plan into a working physical plant, following the specifications established during the design phase.
